A TJ’S RECIPE

I don’t know if you all know but microwave popcorn is BAD for you.

So, I’ve been making the good old-fashioned popcorn and oil in a stainless steel pot like mom used to make before microwaves.

Here’s is a TRADER JOE’S POPCORN recipe!  Healthy!

FYI, NO POPCORN FOR BABIES TILL 3 YEARS OLD! ITS A CHOKING HAZARD!

So here it is:

Trader Joe’s Organic Popcorn

Trader Joe’s Organic coconut oil.

That’s it!!!

Melt the coconut oil in the pot, like regular oil, add popcorn and salt, cover and let it pop!!!

It’s delicious, very slightly sweet and healthy – and it’s not at all greasy, which is good (but I like greasy, oily popcorn sometimes.)

hmmm coconut oil for popcorn, never would have thought of it. I am going to give this a try – I find butter too greasy and also butter burns too easily (maybe my pot is just always too hot…?)

I used about 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and about 1 1/2 tablespoons of popcorn… it filled my pot! If you do the one kernal trick, turn down the heat a little when you add the rest of the popcorn. Shake it occasionally too – that prevents burning.
